National Honor Society, What is It?
- Affiliated with the National Association of Secondary School Principals, or NASSP
- Members have been selected because they uphold the four pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Can I Join?
- Membership is only open to 11th and 12 grade students who have a cumulative GPA (weighted) of 3.75 or higher--that's an A average.
- During spring semester, juniors and seniors who qualify are invited to apply.
- Applications include 3 teacher recommendations, essay, and information on the application that shows the student
upholds the four pillars of NHS.
That's a Lot, What do I Get?
- Lifetime membership
- NHS seal on diploma and medal to wear at graduation
- Opportunity to apply for NHS scholarships (600
available nationwide to seniors each year)
- List membership on college applications
